In addition to his roles as Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Advisor, His Highness Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan chairs several boards of directors and serves on others dedicated to advancing objectives that align with Abu Dhabi’s strategic priorities.

By virtue of an Emiri Decree issued by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, His Highness Sheikh Tahnoon serves as Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi, supporting the emirate’s strategic agenda and representing Abu Dhabi at both local and international levels.

Through a Federal Decree issued in 2016, His Highness Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan was appointed National Security Advisor of the United Arab Emirates, a position in which he plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the UAE’s national interests and shaping strategic security policies.

His Highness is also a member of the Supreme Council for Financial and Economic Affairs, the body responsible for developing and approving Abu Dhabi’s general policies on financial, investment, economic, petroleum, and natural resources matters.

His Highness Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan chairs the Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Technology Council, which is responsible for formulating and implementing policies and strategies related to research and investment in AI and advanced technologies in Abu Dhabi.
