The United Arab Emirates was founded on December 2, 1971, and comprises seven emirates: Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, and Fujairah. The Supreme Council of the Union — composed of the rulers of the seven emirates — elects the President and Vice President from among its members.
Today, the UAE stands as a model of political stability, good governance, and strategic vision for sustainable development. Under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, the country continues to strengthen its global standing through prudent investments, innovation-driven policies, and an active diplomatic and developmental role on the international stage. The UAE’s commitment to economic diversification, environmental sustainability, and human capital development reinforces its position as a forward-looking nation — one that contributes meaningfully to shaping the region’s and the world’s development trajectory.
